The tradition in our house or that past few years has been to have a "fancy" family dinner together. The kids love to drink sparkling cider in fancy glasses, eat steak (of course), and have a fabulous dessert.
Sami made everyone a special card and put them under our pillows that morning. She can be a spitfire, but she can also be very sweet!

That's a great idea... I might have to copy that next year. Btw I can't believe how big your kids are getting. Sami's hair has gotten so long! She's such a pretty girl!
