We are the Champions!

Austin just finished his first season of flag football. He is playing with the same coach and a lot of the same kids that he has played soccer with for the past five years. He absolutly loves football. There team had a little bit of a rocky start. They went into the playoffs ranked 7th. We were not expecting them to make it past the first playoff game. Much to our suprise they made it to the final playoff game and after 6 overtimes, they had earned their spot in the Super Bowl! In a victory truly worthy of Queens classic song, the team played an amazing game and ended up winning 14 to 13! Each boy recieved a HUGE trophy. The trophy is almost as tall as Ava! Austin was very excited and we are very proud of him. Austin always tries his best at what ever he does. He may not be the best player on the team, but he always gives it his best and who could not ask for more than that!

Big Girl Bed!

Ava reached the point last week that she decided she was too big for her crib. She wanted to sleep in a bed like Sami and wear a nightgown like Sami. We moved her into the trundle bed that we had under Sami's bed, and she loves it! We did find her on the floor in the morning for the first few nights, but she has been great about staying in and not getting out. We took down the crib for the last time. It was a little strange to think that we were putting the crib away until the grandkids come! She is still such a small little thing, but wants to be big (except for the whole potty thing, that is my new summer job.)

Dancing Queen!

Samantha has had such a fun time with her dance group this year. She is getting ready for her final performance before it lets out for the summer. She has enjoyed dancing in a lot of shows, marching in a few parades and making some sweet new friends! The boys are excited to have her finish this year so that they don;t have to go watch any more shows. I keep telling them that she has sat through many soccer, football and basketball games and now its payback time! She is so cute and I love watching her dance and sing a long!

Birthday Party!

Sami had her first friend birthday party on May 9th. We will be moving next year around her birthday, so we thought we should do a party with her group of great friends this year. She had a great time. She was pretty easy and simple. She wanted to play pin the tail on the donkey, balloon pop, and duck duck goose. She has such a sweet bunch of little friends. She loves to play with the boys just as much as the girls. She recenlty got into Barbies, and recieved quite a few new ones. It is nice when they are still little enough and get excited about the small and simple parties!

The queen bee of our home turned 4 on May 6th. Samantha is a handful, but we would not have her any other way. She still has her sassy attitude that she was born with. I am still learning on how to guide her strong spirit instead of crush it, some days are better than others! Sami loves to help and can be such a sweet girl when she decides to be. She has a strong personality and is always thinking. She is a sweetheart and we love her very much!

Birthday Tribute

Matt is not that big on birthdays, but the kids refuse to let the day pass with out a little celebration! To keep in the theme of Cinco De Mayo we devoured Mexican food and a requested ice cream cake. I saw this some where and loved it so here is my ABC tribute to my hubby!
