More Visitors!

We love having visitors and have a had a lot so far this summer! Matt's mom and dad came for a visit and we loved having them here! We enjoyed

visiting,

hiking at Emerald Bay,

shopping,

playing on the beach

and the "fun spot" at

Lake Tahoe.

Spooner

We are so lucky to live in an area where there are so many beautiful places to explore. This weekend we took off to Spooner Lake. It happens to only be about 15 minutes away so that makes it even better! It is a short 2 1/2 miles around the lake and a beautiful hike. Or as Easton says, a walk! Unless that kid is going straight up a hill it is not considered a hike!

The boys found some geese and thought they could "catch" one. Only after they chased them, did we see the hatching area sign!

Virginia City

We took Danny and Carlie to Virginia City while they were here. Matt got an emergency call and had to go back to Carson, so we hung out for a while until he got back. We always enjoy stepping back into time!

Big Trees

Danny and Carlie came and spent the fourth of July weekend with us. I had been talking to a friend a few days before about things to do and she mentioned Calaveras Big Trees. Well I looked it up and off we went. It was an amazing, beautiful, and VERY whindy road. But it was well worth it. The trees were spectacular!
