Over the River....

This year for Christmas we decided to make the trek to Utah. We told the kids that if we went for Christmas Day, that Santa may not be able to bring everything to us at Grandmas. They were totally fine with that. They just wanted to be able to spend as much time in Utah as they could!

We packed everything up and made the 9 hour *scenic* trip to Utah. We always have such a great time when we are with the entire family. We were able to attend the Schofield Family Christmas party, the sourdough pancake breakfast at my grandparents, and enjoy being with all of the cousins!

Santa Train

The V&T Railroad offers a Santa Train at the Carson City Depot. The girls of course wanted to go, the boys not so much! We took the kids one early, cold morning and then headed for breakfast after. The train ride was short and not all that scenic, but fun none the less. We were in a train car that was over 120 years old. The girls had fun and the boys are learning to tolerate!

This sums up the mood of the group, Sami excited and Easton dying!

Happy Birthday Easton!

Easton has now entered the double digits and turned 10 on December 8, 2011. Easton is such a good kid and we are so lucky to have him in our family. He really tries to be the peacemaker and help Matt and I out when ever he can. Happy Birthday Easton!

Thanksgiving

This year Becky and Tony came out to visit and be with us for Thanksgiving. It was so great to have them here. We all love having them here, plus Matt and I had extra Black Friday shopping buddies! Dinner was great and Matt really out did himself with his turkey again!

Must Get Leaves!

Easton was bound and determined to get as many leaves into our yard as possible. Our few trees were just not enough for him. He went into the fact fields and was shooting his arrows at the tree to to get them to fall and hauled them back with his bucket. At least he was using his head!

Family Fun?

Every year it turns into a huge fight and fiasco, when it comes to family pictures. Every year I beg, plead, yell and bribe and hopefully out of that I can get a few snapshots of my *beloved* family!

Run. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.

My sweet and loving Henderson friends talked me into running the Ragnar Relay race with them this year. I was very hesitant to do it with them. They are super runners and I can not keep up with them even if I tried! I decided to push myself and try something that was hard. So I said yes, and started training.

The race takes place over 24 hours and is over 180 miles long. There are 12 runners and we eat take three different legs. My legs were 4 miles, 6 miles and 4.5 miles long. I can honestly say it was one of the hardest things that I have ever done. I am proud to say that I did it, but I am not sure if I want to do it again! By the third leg, I was so tired!! I was running at about 4am and on a dirt road and I was exhausted! After no very little sleep, very little food and a lot of laughter with great friends; we completed the course.

We had an amazing team we actually ended up winning 1st place in our division!
