Horsin' Around

 The kids love to spend time at the barn with my dad. The girls especially love the horses. I am glad that they are not scared. I remember as a kid being a little nervous around the horses. My dad and grandpa did not help the situation that much either. They were insistent that I make the horse do what I want and that is a little intimidating for a 6 year old! Thank heavens my dad is much more patient with my kids.

Bees Game

Tony's law firm had a family night at the Salt Lake Bees game. We are not a huge baseball family, but all of the cousins were going, so we decided to try it out. The dinner was really nice and it was fun to hang out with the family, but we can now say with confidence that we are REALLY not a baseball family. We only lasted 2 innings! Oh well, at least we got a free dinner out of the whole thing!

Bean Museum

The kids and I were able to spend 10 days in Utah before Matt joined us. I thought that it would be fun to take the kids to a couple of places that I enjoyed as a kid. We called everyone and set out on a trip to the Monte L Bean Museum at BYU. The kids really enjoyed the museum. Josie and her kids happened to know the director of the museum, which was President Packer's son, and we were able to get a private tour of a few special rooms. 
After the museum we headed over to the BYU Creamery. It is always crazy when we get all of the cousins together, but we were at BYU so I guess all those kids were not out of the norm!

Look Ma, No Training Wheels

After many long and exasperating attempts, Sami can now ride her bike without training wheels! I am glad 

we got that down before she was driving a car!

And Ava is not far behind her!

Small Blessings

Ava has always been my shy child. She had a hard time letting go and being OK with pre-school. Thanks to some wonderful teachers and a sweet new best friend, I think that we could count this first and last year of pre-school a success.

Mothers Day Picnic

Ava had a Mothers Day Picnic at her pre-school, Small Blessings. She was so excited for me to come and have "tea" with her. She made me a hat to wear out of a coffee filter. She loved it so much that she wanted to wear it!

Track

Austin ran track for Carson Middle School this Spring. He really took to the hurdles. By the end of the season he was doing pretty well. Hopefully this is something that he will continue to pursue and enjoy!
