Pioneer Day

The Fire Department in a neighboring city to where my mom lives celebrated Pioneer Day in a new fashion this year. A few of the fire trucks met at a local park and let their foam and water drench the local riff -raff. Needless to say there were a lot of kids and a lot of fun!

We then headed to the canyon for a BBQ at grandma and grandpas cabin. I forgot how much I miss the outdoors.

Trees, grass and mountains have never looked so good after a long, hot summer in the desert!

my cute sis and her cute baby,

The night ended with my uncle Bruces annual firework display. He tries to outdo himself every year and all of the neighborhood kids come out to watch. This year it was complete with background music from the Jackson 5. Thank heavens for the Pioneers that allows us one more day of pyrotechnics!

Very fun, I will have to try that next year! I was so sad that your mom called us on Tuesday for Sammy to play, but we were in Salt Lake at the Planetarium until 3 pm. They did play for a couple of hours on Monday after Becky brought them home, but next time we need to get them together more. My girls love Sammy!

Hope that you found out what you needed to in Texas, but I am still crossing my fingers you will end up back here in Utah!

It looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I love the comment about "forgetting" how much you love the outdoors. I always forget too. I'm sad your guys will be leaving Vegas!

What! Where are you going Danielle? Back to the green and the cool? Lucky, lucky you.

At least I can still stalk the fun Schofield family through your blog... so keep updating it!
